Read reroll probabilities, compare direct damage models and plan a fixed resource budget.

1. Understand the probability result

Understand the probability result. The trait calculator estimates the chance of at least one success over independent rolls. If a single roll succeeds with probability p, the chance of no successes in n rolls is (1 - p) raised to n. Subtract that result from one to obtain the chance of at least one success.

2. Keep expectations separate from guarantees

Keep expectations separate from guarantees. An illustrative one percent chance gives roughly a sixty-three percent chance of at least one success over one hundred independent attempts. It does not guarantee success. A long unsuccessful streak does not improve the next independent roll. This model does not account for changing probabilities or an additional guarantee mechanic in the game.

3. Set a budget before comparing outcomes

Set a budget before comparing outcomes. Enter the number of rolls you are willing to spend, then read both success and failure figures. A high success percentage can still leave a meaningful failure chance. Decide what result would make you stop before beginning. The calculation describes uncertainty; it cannot predict your next result or recover resources already spent.

Compare direct DPS on matching assumptions. Enter base damage, seconds per attack and the number of placements to compare. The calculator applies the selected trait modifiers to a simple direct damage model. Its Unique option uses one placement. Keep starting inputs consistent when switching traits, and compare the output as a model rather than a complete battle simulation.

5. Account for what the model leaves out

Account for what the model leaves out. Range, attack coverage, target availability, conditional effects and upgrade timing affect practical performance. A larger direct DPS number may not help if a unit cannot attack the enemy causing your loss. Read the current unit descriptions before spending. Consider whether better placement or a planned upgrade addresses the same problem without additional rerolls.
